Hi, I’m Annie — a humanitarian professional and communicator turned coffee founder. For more than a decade, I worked in international crisis response and communications, telling the story of Americans stepping up to help communities around the world through some of their hardest days. When the landscape of my career began to change, I took it as a sign to follow a long-held dream: bringing people together over really good coffee.
That dream became First Light Coffee — a coffee business based in Maryland, built for early risers, dreamers, and doers and built on the ideal that every person deserves an opportunity to thrive. It’s because of this ideal that we’re committed to donating a portion of our proceeds to organizations giving back to our community. Right now, five percent of profits will go to World Central Kitchen.
